Professional Contributions

Chairman of the Health Disciplines Act and Health Professions Legislation Review Committee of the Ontario Chiropractic Association ( OCA), successfully culminating in the passage of The Regulated Health Professions Act (Bill 43) and The Chiropractic Act.

Representative of the OCA to the prestigious Consensus Committee of the C.C.A. on Guidelines of Practice – 1993.

Originator of one of the most widely used case history/ examination forms

Represented the chiropractic profession to 14 Ministers of Health, various government committees, the Ontario Medical Association, the Ontario Dental Association, the Ontario Physiotherapy Association, political fund raising dinners, various task forces, OHIP fees negotiations, Ontario Workers’ Compensation Board, and a member of Ministry of Health Task Force on Heath Care costs.

Helped to initiate meetings between the CCO and CVO re Animal Chiropractic/Veterinary Standards

Options for Animals is fully accredited by the educational standards committee of the AVCA. Being the best the world offers in Animal Chiropractic Education, Options for Animals remains the model used to set the standards of education for the AVCA, yet it will always remain separate and distinct. Instructors and lecturers at the Options for Animals courses have always been the best the world has to offer, with several of today’s instructors having taught over 1100 of the approximately 1150 Animal Chiropractors around the world.
At Options for Animals, a student can expect a rigorous and thorough review of anatomy, neurology, biomechanics, pathology, physiology, ethics and legalities, rehabilitation, examination, and philosophy as well as hours of hands-on laboratory instruction in adjusting techniques, topography, dissection, safety and handling, and examination.

American Veterinary Chiropractic Association, Certification 2002

AVCA Certification – Licensed doctors of chiropractic and licensed doctors of veterinary medicine who have passed approved AVCA postgraduate programs in animal chiropractic are eligible to sit for the AVCA Board Examinations.
In order to become AVCA certified in animal chiropractic a graduate from one of the approved programs must pass both the AVCA Written and Practical Examinations with scores of 75% on each.
